Step by Step Guide: How to Make a bed look luxurious and stylish
Styling a bed is a tricky task as it involves making layers correctly and handling textures and colors. Follow our steps and you will never fail to impress with a bed that looks as stylish as in a five start hotel.
1. Chose Bed Skirt or Box Spring Covers for a perfect hotel style bed
Enhance the ambiance of your bedroom by adding a bed skirt, ensuring that plain box springs, bed frames, and under bed storage don’t detract from your carefully curated décor. To determine the appropriate length for your bed skirt, it is important to measure from the top of the box spring all the way to the floor. This measurement will ensure a perfect fit that complements the size and height of your bed.
For hotel like bedding we recommend white or light colored bedding but if you want to create contrasts with sheets and duvets you can go for a colored bed skirt as well.. One of our favorite bed skirt is listed below.
If you have a platform bed you can simply ignore this step.

2. Chose Your Sheet Set
Fitted sheets and flat sheets ( or top sheets) are integral part of a luxurious bedding and they provide a hygienic sleep surface. They provide a layer between the body and the mattress which is comforting. We recommend going for sheets made with breathable fabrics like cotton. Classically , we recommend going for white, cream or light colored sheets.
The fitted sheet is a first covering layer over a mattress. The elasticized corners of the fitted sheet should be secured tightly around each corner of the mattress, ensuring a snug and secure fit.
The top sheet (or a flat sheet) comes over fitted sheet, it is nicely tucked in at the foot side of the bed whereas it is folded from the head side of the bed. This folded edge of the top sheet serves as a decorative border and helps keep the blanket or comforter in place.
Try our favorite sheet set on Amazon , it is bright white made with 100% cotton which is breathable and soft.

3. Add Layers of Quilt, Duvet and Throw Blanket
Bedroom photos featured in magazines often catch the eye with their beautifully layered bedding, incorporating a variety of blankets, coverlets, quilts, and duvet covers. To create a five star hotel like stylish bed, add layers in following order.
Add a linen quilt over top sheet. This is a great way to add texture and style to a bed. Fold the quilt with the top sheet near the head side (leaving ample space for pillows) towards center of the bed , remove all wrinkles from the quilt and tuck the quilt from sides of the bed. You can try our favorite quilt , this is beautifully textured and provides a graceful look.

Next layer it with a duvet. Place your duvet towards the end of the bed and pull it towards the top then fold it down to the bottom (so that it covers half of the bed) and then fold it again up ( so that it covers around one-third of the bed). This gives a nice fluffy and luxurious feel to the bed. Try our favorite hotel style comforter/ duvet.

4. Add Pillows for Hotel Style Bedding
Putting too many pillows can look good and luxurious but it is not practical as they cramp you for space and it becomes a routine to remove those pillows when going to bed. We recommend having two sleeping pillows and adding just 2-4 more decorative /accent pillows. Try our favorite decorative accent pillows on Amazon to add artistic touch to your bed.
